Acquisition by Nippon Kodoshi Corporation

On August 7, 2015, ALINDECO was acquired by Nippon Kodoshi Corporation (NKK), a leading manufacturer of capacitors and battery separators in Japan. NKK’s investment introduced significant advancements in our production process, including the automation of the cooking process. This automation enables us to consistently achieve precise settings for each batch, ensuring high-quality pulp production. Under NKK’s guidance, several process improvements were initiated, further enhancing our production efficiency and output quality.

Transition to SPMI Ownership

On June 7, 2018, NKK sold its shares of ALINDECO to Specialty Pulp Manufacturing Inc. (SPMI). With this transition, ALINDECO continued its commitment to growth and innovation while maintaining its position as a leading producer of high-quality Abaca pulp and other non-wood pulp products. Today, ALINDECO’s procurement of raw materials for production is handled by its own buying arm, Ching Bee Trading Corp. (CBT).
